What are we looking for?

Frog is looking to appoint a Mid Developer to work alongside our existing internal development team.

As a member of the development team, work on a variety of projects to create and develop Frog technical products using programming techniques.

The role will be based at Frog's office in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.



Responsibilities included as part of this role:


  • Use Relational Databases to structure and store data to power applications
  • Create stable and production ready code
  • Identify limitations of design and specification during a project life-cycle and be able to consult with project owners to resolve issues
  • Work within a framework defined by senior members of team
  • Document and demonstrate software functionality
  • Perform clear communication and support to other teams/departments
  • Identify and counter broader implications of changing the software
  • Report to technical leads with regards to project progress and escalate any risks accordingly
  • Propose technical projects for refactoring, replacement or improvement to Architecture
  • With other members of teams, gather and analyze requirements in order to create implementation plans
  • Mentoring and coaching junior developers of the team
  • Participate in code reviews and generally promote industry best practice in your team and the wider department


Skills Required


Technical skills required as part of this role:


  • Object-Oriented development in JavaScript and PHP
  • Knowledge and understanding of different frameworks and programming design patterns
  • Ability to produce robust and realistic test cases for own and others’ code in order to take ownership of an aspect or aspects of a project
  • Use of MySQL relational database to structure and store data to power applications
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of Source code control packages such as git, subversion etc
