Like many organisations across the country right now, we are reviewing all our processes, policies and software to ensure we have the right things in place to ensure we are GDPR compliant in time for May to ensure we continue to serve you appropriately.
Actions Frog Education are taking…
Firstly, to reassure you, Frog have worked in education for 20 years and already have many robust procedures in place as you would expect from any credible business working in this sector. Staff are all DBS cleared and fully trained on the use and handling of student data. These will be enhanced further by a series of workshops on GDPR across our business in the next 2 months.
Our software is regularly checked with external penetration testing as well as internal reviews and we have a dedicated in-house systems team monitoring servers and ensuring security patches are constantly reviewed and installed.
To ensure GDPR readiness we have created a working group to review all of our security and data policies across the whole business working with external specialists Ward Hadaway to review contracts, Terms and Conditions and internal policies. The relevant updates to all of these will be circulated to all customers as soon as they are complete.
As a business, we are well on with the qualification ‘Cyber Essentials Plus’ and expect to receive full accreditation by April. This qualification has huge cross over with the GDPR best practice and will help ratify and recognise that the procedures and controls we have in place are secure and compliant.
We will be adding more information to both the website and Community pages shortly.
If you have any specific questions or would like to discuss any of this in the interim, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01422 250800 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to go into more detail and answer any queries directly.
