External links on your Site's Navigation Widget
Created with FrogCode
Adding extra options to a site menu
A useful hack for menus
UPDATED - FrogCode widg
A popular request on the Ideas Portal is to be able to add external links to a site's menu and to be able to link directly to a sub page of a site. While we're waiting on such a development, this tutorial should allow you to replicate the end-user functionality.
To make things easier, we have created a FrogCode widget that handles most of the code for you.
You can still use the HTML code but either can change Frog's menus to:
- Open another page on the same site
- Open an external website in a new tab
- Open a Frog Site
Link opens in a new window

FrogCode expands the possibilities of your platform, built inside FrogLearn it allows you to create your own widgets and applications. To activate this functionality please contact the Service Desk - call through on 01422 395939.
Please note: FrogCode widgets are not officially supported by our Service Desk. FrogCode was created to give extra flexibility to schools wishing to use custom code. Many of the widgets in this section have been created by our schools to share with other schools.
