We divided students into small groups and set a challenge to create a video documentary on a significant turning point of World War II. A Frog site was created with page tabs so the students could add a description with a link to their video. We set an assignment using the site that asked students to watch all of the videos and choose the one they felt highlighted the most significant turning point, explaining why in the text editor.
This kind of task used to consume a one hour lesson and students would often sit passively as groups fed back their findings in turn. Now all the review and assessed written work is completed by the students at home. The whole exercise is digital using Frog so we’re not producing lots of paper materials for it.
